Senior Software Engineer

Salary £30,000 to £37,500

Role and Responsibilities

As a member of the senior software engineering team you will be responsible for the delivery of both real-time embedded software and associated control and monitoring applications across a diverse range of platforms and technologies utilising our own hybrid ‘best of breed’ iterative development process.

According to the needs of each project you will need to be equally comfortable in autonomously delivering project goals as well as operating alongside your colleagues as part of, or leading, a LeoTel Software Systems project team.

Overall you will be expected to consistently combine your strong technical knowledge with your customer facing skills in order to meet the high expectations of our customers and to help us to grow as a business.

The position is primarily based at our Stevenage office but will also involve working directly at customers sites.

Experience and Skills

The following are all key requirements for this position:

- A strong academic background with a degree from a reputable university.
- At least five years experience in a commercial software engineering role.
- Experience developing real-time embedded software using C/C++.
- Experience developing Java or C# /.NET monitoring and control applications.
- Experience developing using an object orientated methodology.

Preferred Skills

- Any experience within the telecommunications or utility sectors.
