Job Role
As part of the senior engineering team you will be responsible for the delivery,
development and maintenance of real-time object oriented software primarily for
customer driven projects and occasionally for internal
LeoTel Software Systems product or systems.
The successful individual, after a period of successful customer project
delivery, will have scope to lead and manage projects initially with a small complement
of software engineers.
The position is primarily based at our Stevenage office but may also involve
working directly at the customer’s facility from time to time.
Core Skills
The following are all key requirements for this position:

A strong
academic background with a degree in engineering, physics, computer science or
mathematics from a reputable university
·
Five
years or more experience in a commercial software engineering capacity
·
Hard
working motivated self starter with the ability and confidence to manage even
the most complex of projects
·
Experience
of developing real time or embedded software using C/C++
·
Experience
or knowledge of RTOS (VxWork, Embedded Linux, etc)
·
Object
Oriented Methodology
Additional Skills
Any of the following would be an advantage:
·
Experience
of developing software using: C#, CORBA, Databases, Java, Perl,
·
TCP/IP,
UML and/or Web Technologies (e.g. APACHE, SOAP, SSL, TOMCAT, XML).
·
Experience
of developing software for any of the following platforms: VxWorks, QNX, pSOS,
UNIX API (e.g. Solaris, HPUX, *BSD, Linux), and/or Win32.
·
Experience
of developing software for any of the following microcontrollers: ARM, ATMEL,
PIC, PowerPC, TI, AD, and/or X86.
